I am searching for any details of my maternal grandfather, - Richard Glue who was born I believe in Gillignham Kent in 1880.
Married Evelyn Daisy John, - had two son - Raymond and Richard, two Daughters Pansy and Pearl.

He joined the Army in teh Royal Engineers I believe, and died during WWII in South Wales during an air raid.

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Tony, as you probably guessed from my surname i have done a lot of GLUE research. I have come across Richard. You are right he was a MAJOR in the Royal Engineers he is buried in Tenby. It's a long shot but i've got a feeling he fits into my tree. I need to know a bit more about him. DO you have anything on him? please email me--bill@wglue.freeserve.co.uk Thanks

Hi,

Do you have any details of Richard's parents??

I am a Glue in NZ, most of my ancestors seem to have come from Yorkshire.

Cheers

Blimey, just a slight delay!
Its been quite a while since i've done any family history stuff, not sure want you know, but...working from memory.... your grandfather was the son of Richard & Alice (nee Francies). This Richard had me stumped until his service record appeared.
If you give me a while i'll dig out the appropriate tree.
It might be easier if you use my email address bill.glue@btinternet.com
Cheers for now
