Re: Gliddon/Fisher, Washington State
Have you seen Wendy Norman's edit of Anne Gliddon's Family History written in 1869? Pblisher Steele Roberts in New Zealand. South Australian State Library may be able to help you. Anne Gliddon was the oldest sister of Rose Ellen Gliddon our grandmother's sister who came to South Australia with the help of John Morphett when her parents died young. Her brother Arthur william came too in 1834 on the Africaine. I think their older brother John married Florimel. Like everyone else we are doing family trees and would be interested to see your photos if no one more closely related has a better claim. Anne Gliddon was also an artist there are lthograps in SA Art Gallery I believe.

Re: Gliddon/Fisher, Washington State
I don't know if you still have the pictures, but I would be interested in them if you haven't given them away.
I am related to Sada Fisher Gliddon, she was my great Aunt. Her brother Henry was my grandfather.
I would appreciate scans of the images if you made them.
Thanks,
Rick Phillips

Re: Gliddon/Fisher, Washington State
Mr Phillips, My name is Sonna Nixon and Sada Gliddon, Fisher was my grandmother. I have a picture of the Fisher family that was taken, I believe, on the day of Grandpa Fisher's funeral and will try to send it as an attachment. William Kenneth Gliddon was my father and he was the eldest of two children. Aunt Mauriene and Daddy have both passed away. I will try to send this picture as an attachment, but might have to wait until someone can help me. Sincerely Sonna Nixon

Re: Gliddon/Fisher, Washington State
Sonna,
Thanks for sending the photo, I already have a copy of that same one, I have only one picture of Arizona Fisher and this one of Anna and her children. I am hoping to eventually get more if I can locate them.
I assume you know about Patrick Ross, Anna Ross Fisher's father? He was murdered during the Civil War. Tradition in the family of Anna's oder siblings is that Patrick's mother was a full-blooded Cherokee. Have you heard of this?
Anyway, thanks for the reply and the photo.
Rick
