Hello Coral, I'm still looking for the family connection in the London, Walthamstow area. How is your husband related to R.R.G. ?
My uncle made the following notes some years ago:
Richard Rawson Gliddon. Born 27th March 1850. Christened at St Peters De Beauvois 21 April 1850. Married Sarah Ann Gardiner 3rd September 1883 at St Peters Church Bournemouth, England, by Reverend Husband. R.R.Gliddon died 29th April 1922. Buried May 3rd 1922 at Streatham Cemetary, Garrards Lane, London. Grave number 554, block 7. Cause of death: Cerebral haemorrhage and Cardiac syncope. Age 72.

Hello Geoff
Good to meet you.
According to my research, Frederick William Gliddon b abt 1825 Hackney had 10 children. Richard Rawson Gliddon b abt 1850 was one of these. Edwin John Gliddon b 1860 (who is my husbands g grandfather) was another.Frederick William Gliddon (2) b 1848 was another son, I have recently made contact with his g granddaughter via the internet.
If you've been looking for the Walthamstow Gliddons you've found them! (Except we live in Chelmsford now!)
