Material about Gleaves at Willingham
Some time ago you mentioned that you had 10 generation of Gleaves from that part of England. My husband's line goes back to Mathew Gleaves born about 1725 in Willingham, Cambridgeshire, England. He moved to Wythe County, Virginia where he died in 1760. His father was Thomas Gleaves married to Anne Sneesby; his father Matthew married to Amy ?; his father possible Michael Gleaves. Are any of these included in your material? I have been corresponding with Gary Simmons, but haven't heard from him since he said he was having back trouble. He even thought he, his mother and aunt would come over for the Gleaves family reunion in July 2001. I don't know his mother's address to send her and her sister an invitation. That would also include you if you were interested. We would love to add you to our Gleaves Family list of contacts. If you like, send me your physical address and your e-mail. We live in Missouri.
I would be happy to reimburse you the price to copy your material and postage. I mailed Gary some stuff because what he sent by e mail, I couldn't open. So I know postage can be expensive.
Hope to hear from you!

Gleaves in Willingham, Cambs UK
Hi, great to hear from you regarding your Gleaves connection. Unfortunately I have a very small daughter (7 months) who doesn't allow me much time for research these days but, in a very brief nutshell, my line appears to be connected, at least in theory because I have made many contacts that link in with your line and with what I have it seems feasible that they were connected but nothing has been proven yet. If you would like to e-mail me direct I would love to hear from you but please bear with me as I don't often get the chance to "play" with the trees anymore.

Dear Mandy, Thank you for your reply! Please post your email address in your reply next, so I may email you directly. I am specifically interested in any Thomas Gleaves (Glave, Gleave etc.) married to Anne Sneesby? who their parents may be. I believe they had 3 sons, one of which was Mathew, I'm sure was my ancestor. Would love to hear from you! Kim Gleaves Marin marinkim@aol.com
