Saw the posting about William B. GLEAVES in Wilson County, TN. back in the 1850s. Does anyone have access to any of the census records from that time? Or a little later? Looking for links to William Henry GLEAVES, who had a son, William Lloyd IRETON GLEAVES, who lived, at least during most of his adult life, in Philadelphia, PA. Also looking for a link to Charles JACKSON, of Wilson County, TN., who had a son, Frank JACKSON, who also lived in Wilson County, TN (and presumably died there, as well, though not certain). He married Mamie CARROLL. They had a son, Charles JACKSON, possibly Charles E(ugene?) JACKSON, who moved to Jackson, MO and married Cora Ann WILSON. They eventually moved to East Prairie, Mo., and have four children, Willard F. JACKSON, Luella JACKSON, Billy Jean JACKSON, and Harold Ray JACKSON.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dave I have a William H. Gleaves born 9/1857. He was the son of James T. and Sarah Dunaway Gleaves. I have William marrying Hattie Bliss 1/22/1885 in Davidson County.
This couple appears in the 1900 Census for Davidson County. Hattie and her mother are listed as being born in New York and her two sisters are reported to have been born in Louisiana. William and Hattie's marriage is recorded in Davidson County.
I don't have any children listed for this marriage.
Could this be your William?

Dennis:
Thanks for the quick reply. It certainly gives me a lot more food for digging than I had 24 hours ago. I'm not sure if that's him yet, but I'll let you know what I come up with.

Thanks,
Dave

William Henry Gleaves is my grandfather and William Lloyd Ireton Gleaves is my father. If you still belong to Ancestry, maybe we can share some information. Are we related somehow?

Hello. I am trying to find out information on the potter, William Gleaves, that my grandmother, Mildred Keyser, took pottery lessons from in 1938 in Ambler Pennsylvania. Mrs. Keyser became a famous potter in her own right,
