I am related to the Gleason clan in Issaquah Washington (outside of Seattle). Leo Gleason and Anna (Katzer)owned a farm and had eight children. My Father, Joseph Gleason Sr. served with the Army Corps. of Engineers in Alaska.

Is this account still active?

If so, I'm seeking descendants of WWII Paratrooper Melvin Gust Gleason last residence Seattle, WA.

Descendants would be son, Micheal G., or daughters Kathy Gleason Johnson or Joy Gleason Thomas.

It has been awhile since this thread has been active, however, I am also related to a Gleason line that ended in Washington State, specifically the Pierce County area. This branch almost expired completely in Calhoun County, Michigan before the turn of the century. Harry Ray Gleason and wife, Eliza Anna Brand relocated to Washington State around 1900. They had 6 children:

Lewis Edgar GLEASON (unknown death)
1872 –

Nettie Mary GLEASON married William P Taylor
1875 – 1960 (died in Fort Steilacoom, Pierce, Washington)

Harry Ray GLEASON Jr (unmarried, probably gay since he was buried near his life long friend)
1879 – 1954 (death Tacoma, Pierce, Washington)

Mariah Ruth GLEASON named after her paternal grandmother
1881 – 1883 (died in Calhoun County, Michigan)

George D GLEASON
1886 – ( unknown death )

GLEASON
1887 – 1887 (Calhoun County, Michigan)

Leo Gleason & Anna Katzer Gleason were my grandparents. My mother was Katherine. Are you still seeking info on this family history. My mother was always very interested in family history and I have numerous pictures of my grandparents, the farm, my childhood, Danny, Joe, Leo , Bernie & Harold when he was in Alaska during the war. Please send e-mail to Yankegirl5@hotmail if you wish to follow up on this information. Especially if you want copies of pictures. This could be a fun connection as I am the only Grandchild left.
