Gleanealogy.Com is a website dedicated toward the research and preservation of Glean family history.

We are interested in any information regarding the Glean's, any descendant(s) of a Glean, and even those distant relatives of various and sundry origin who have any sort of genealogical link into the Glean family.

If you are a relative of Wilfred Hall Embree Glean, we encourage you to contact us at info@gleanealogy.com . We'd love to hear from you!

Also encouraged to contact us are those from different families which happen to share the Glean surname or which use a close variation (such as Gleane). The information we have been able to gather is somewhat limited at the moment, but perhaps someday we will be able to trace our roots back far enough to find a common forefather amongst all the various Glean clans.

We estimate that there are only about 180 Glean's living in the world today: There are about 40 in the United Kingdom, 40 in the United States of America, 40 in the Philippines, 40 in Grenada, and a dozen or so others scattered in other miscellaneous places around the world.

It would be interesting to figure out how we are all linked together.

Hello Joseph!
This is really awesome that you're trying to get the family tree started, hope this will help you !!. I'm, not really a Glean,my step-father was. His name was Anthony F. Glean. His father's name was George Glean, born in Grenada, who married Una Stanisclaus. They later migrated to Trinidad. Together they had Romel,Anthony,Angela, and Alvin Glean. They lived on Rosemary Street,in Trinidad. The story get's a little strange as George had an outside child named Byron Glean, with Mildred Debellotte who is also from Grenada. Byron and I were married, however that lasted about 9 yrs. We have 4 children together, and they carry GLEAN. Tevin 16yrs,Tenisha 15yrs,Byron jr 11yrs,and Monique 7yrs. Please also note that Byron Sr,has other children Romel 19yrs, Michael 15yrs, and Nia 3yrs. He is presently re-married, I don't know if he has other children yet. Just to let you know that the Glean blood line is still going strong, and well.Although Angela, Romel, and Anthony Glean, have all passed. While I was living in New York, Byron and I started to look up Glean's, as well. There are a few well that live in the states. I however live in Canada. My mother still carries Glean, and my younger brother is my step-father's only child Anthony Glean 29yrs. Also you should note that the family has very strong genes as the all resemble!!!!!! Hope to hear from you soon!!!
