My particular branch of the family is believed to be one of several that moved to the Hartshead area sometime by 1545 from the Stainland area, where they had been recorded since the C13th & C14th.
Currently seeking the ancestry of William GLEADHILL, who married Jennitt (of unknown family) in the early C17th. Both are buried at Hartshead, WRY; he ?30.11.1655 and she 23.2.1657.
