Rick, I feel that we may have a connection. I am looking for a Kate Glad, b. 1862. In the 1870 census, she is listed with Brigitta, Christaine and August. No mention of Peter. A 1947 photo of my husband's family at the dedication of the Franconia monument also pictures a Bertha Glad Bulow and her daughter, Myrtha Bulow Danielson. Do any of these names fit in your family? My e-mail is sl.wick@prodigy.net

My great-greatgrandmother's maiden name was Charlotte Glad. She was born in Sweden, married a Dane by the name of Ehlers and came into the US via Chicago (?). Eventually settled in NYC area. My guess is that her birthdate was in the 1860's, as my grandmother Rose's birthdate was 1890. Any change your Per and my ancestor were relatives?
