GLACE, Aasboe, Ausboe
I am looking for my great grandfathers relatives. I know very little. He was born in Port Royal, PA and moved as a young man to Antler, ND with his two siblings and parents. His name was Victor A. Glace. He had one brother Edward Glace and one sister Mina Glace. He later married Clara Aasboe, name also spelled Ausboe. His parents' names are a bit of a mystery, can anyone help. I know that they identified themselves as a Pennsylvania Dutch family but most of the Glace's I find are of English decent. HELP! Thanks.

Hi, my grandfather, Frank Elmore Glace, was born Feb 26, 1887 in Port Royal, Pa. I know his family went back to the Rice, Hench and Groninger families. I believe his father was Frederick [b. 1860, d. 1898] and his mother was Anna E. Glace [b. 1865, d. 1926]. I am trying to locate more information and will get back to you as soon as I can find the information. I need to go through my father's files etc. I believe that the Glace name may actually be of Scotch origin, at least some old letters I've found indicate that. Many of these families are buried in the Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal Lutheran Church. I have a complete listing of burials there if that is any help to you.

Just read your message. I would like to see the Glace obituaries. My great grandfather's name is Matthias and his wife's name is Catherine Crutle. Catherine is from Germany, Mathias is from PA. As far as I know most of them were from PA. Thanks, Rose Baran

Hi Rose,
any particular burial listing you are looking for? I have a book from the cemetery in Port Royal, with all those buried listed.

Hello, I am the great granddaughter of Victor Alan Glace, his son, Alan Victor Glace married my grandmother, Lillian Ramsey and they had my mother, Vicki Alan Glace. I have been on Ancestry trying to figure out my tree and possibly meet some family. My grandmother and mother passed away in 2013 and I am now curious. I wish I searched this when I was younger. Please help me with any information, if possible.
Thank you,
Lindsey Oliver
