Hi.
I've got a great great grandmother called Pelagia Nawrocka (dates unknown). In late 1800 she lived in Rönnebeck by Bremen, Germany with husband Johannes Valentin Cichos with whom she had Peter und Martha Christine. I've got several pictures of Pelagia Nawrocka.
Yours sincerely
Laila Cichos

I am very sorry, but I don't know anything about the parents or siblings of my Grandmother Josephine (Nowrocka) Gesinsk and am unable to provide you with any leads for you Nowrocka side of the family. Josephine was married in Poland and that was also her residence when she arrived in the US. She may have been born in Germany, but I have no information on her birth.

One other person responded to my inquiry and determined the Gizinski / Gesinski families were 2 different families and not a variation in the surname spelling.

There is a Tadeusz/Taddeus Kowalski in our family. His mother was sophie/Zofia though. I do not know fathers name, but Taddeus was apparently killed during the Warsaw insurrection of 1944.

Although the names of Gizinski are different, as you can see by my email, Novak (Nowak?), is a name we share. Any info about this side?

Sorry, I have nothing more on Nowrocka side of my family. I do not think this name was ever americanized to Novak/Nowak in my family history, or I haven't discovered that yet. Gesinski however was changed by a few living in Chicago, they changed it to Genske.

Good luck in your search
