YES,Ebenezer,David and Jesse were 3 brothers who lived in Steuben County,New York, around the Painted Post area. They were orphans and I surely would like to find their father. I was not aware that this David was the one who went to Michigan. I have been looking for the source of that line, also.
Be that as it may, Ebenezer had an unknown spouse or spouses and there were at least 3 children, & I don't know for sure if these were from the same mother or if Ebenezer was married twice. I say this because one of the children was Charlotte Gitchell and she was 1/2 blood Mohawk Indian. She married Jacob Bennett and was that gentleman's 3rd wife.
Ebenezer's other children were David L Gitchell,b.10 April,1797 in New York and d.17 Dec 1848 in Ridott,Stephenson,Illinois. He married Elizabeth Bennett,b.01 Nov 1802 in Big Flats,Chermung,New York and d. 1868 in Ridott,Stephenson,Illinois. He was my great-grandfather. Ebenezer's 3rd child was Nathaniel, also born in New York. I have some info on him somewhere, can't find it right now.

Hello,
My name is Michelle and i'm doing a little research myself. I was wondering if Gary Gitchell had a brother named Richard Gitchell that lived in Florida? If so, i would really like to get a hold of Gary to speak with him.

Thank You,

Michelle

Well, I have been looking for the same thing, as I am descended from Ebenezer Gitchell. What makes you think these boys were orphans? I have Jesse as born 1775 in Maine. I REALLY need to know who the ir father was.
