Re: Henry Gipple and Descendents, beg 1717 Ger
A few years back I ordered a copy of a book which was a history about the family of your Henry Gipple. My interest in the Gipple/Gibbel, Gippel, Kipple etc. family is due the fact that I have been very much involved with the genealogy of the Stroh family. My own link to the Stroh family, however, is the mother of my immigrant ancestor Johann Peter Reeb, whose mother was Anna Margaretha Stroh. Many years ago having traced my Reeb ancstry back in time to the early 1600s in what is often commonly referred to as the Alsace-Lorraine region (now part of France), I discovered that my Reeb family was definately linked to a STROH family and after becoming involved in my Stroh ancestry, I then discovered that I could link some of the earliest Stroh pioneers in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster area to my own Stroh ancestors. I then began an intense search to lean all I could about my distant Stroh family cousins in America. I have not been active as of late, however, I have once again started my work on the Stroh genealogy. In the past few weeks I have been working on the Gipple family (branch of Stroh family) who settled in Louisa County, Iowa. A few years ago when I had the Gipple book I soon afterward made a gift of it to one of my Stroh cousins who is also a Gipple descendant. I would like to hear from any who can help me with more details on their specific Gipple family who are Stroh descendants.
