Maria Teresa Girolo/Giovanola

Hello/Ciao,

I am trying to find information on my great-great grandmother, Maria Teresa GIROLO. She married Silvestro GIROLO in Rogolo, Sondrio, Lombaria, Italia on 28 December 1871.

I am unsure of her true maiden name. For years I thought it was GIANOLI, but recently found a death record stating name as GIOVANOLA. If this is true, her parents were Carlo GIOVANOLA and Luigia FOLATTI or FALLATI

She was born in 1847 and died in Como on 18 Oct 1889. She had 5 children with Silvestro Girolo:
- Pietro Paolo b. 1872
- Maria Virginia b. 1875
- Gabriele b. 1878
- Anna b. 1880
- Anacleto b. 1886

After her death, her husband and oldest boys left for America. The daughters stayed with an aunt (who I know nothing of) and the youngest son, Anacleto, stayed until her was old enough to travel to America alone. The daughters and their descendants are still in Italy.

Any information of the parents, siblings, family of Maria Teresa would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much, Pat. I will certainly tell my friend about you. You are from the same line. Her father was Robert Peter Grisotti, son of Dominic Grisotti and wife, Matilda. Let me know if it would be OK if my friend contacts you.
Do you have any information on the Grisotti line, such as where Dominic Grisotti was born in Italy?

I am also descended from Matilda and Dominic Grisotti. The only info I have on Rosa's second (?) marriage was from another cousin who has since passed on. Pietro (Peter) Giovannoli died 6 December 1923.

I am helping a friend with her family history. She is descended from Peter and Rosa Giovannoli's daughter, Matilda, who married Dominick Grisotti. The information you have that Rosa married _____ Green after being divorced from Peter Giovannoli is new to me. Could you tell me more about this marriage? Also, do you know when Peter Giovannoli died?

Green. Do you have any information about rosa Green?
