My grandfather did have a brother named Frank Gimber. In his latter years I know that Frank lived on a lake in Louisiana. If living, my grandpa would be about 85-90 yrs. old. Think it could be the same Frank?

It's not the same "Frank" I'm talking about but I am sure we are related.

My Frank Gimber had a son named Charles Frank Gimber/Gimper and a daughter named Marie Gimber/Gimper...Charles married Cecilia Bour...They lived in the Carrick area of Pittsburgh when they passed away...I don't have any information on Frank Gimper (Charles father)...Except that he married Magdalena (Lena) Brahm...Lena remarried Thomas Herbst after Frank died around 1900/1901...

Does this help???

I have information on Lena Brahm and her siblings in Wisconsin, if you're still interested.

I was given information about Lena and her family from Marv Hoerig, but I'd love to see what you have.

This Gimber/Gimper family has been very hard to find...I'm thinking they immigrated here from Germany very late, like the late 1800's.

You can email me privately if you'd like...This is my business email, so it's ok to list it here:

Thanks for answering my post :)

So do you think that William used Frank as a nickname??...Magdelena was my husbands great grandmother and I have nothing on Frank..I've been stuck on him for years.

Thanks :)
