In 1872, 2 Gimbel families arrived in New Orleans from Bremen, Germany on ship Frankfurt. They included Johann Georg Gimbel,44 yrs, middle initial P not G,& Christian Gimbel, aged 39. They settled in San Antonio, TX and are in the 1880 Census. My GGF was son of JPG. His name was Christian Henry Gimbel, 1857-1950. He married Mary A Love, & had 3 children in SA, including my GM, Lenora Gimbel Hanson. They are listed in the 1910-1930 Censuses in El Paso. He was a baker. After his wife died in 1947, he went to Big Spring, TX and lived with my grandparents.

According to my file, your grandmother could possibly be my first cousin, twice removed. I don't currently have a subscription, so I can't look at your information. My email is in the first post.
