I am a Gilpin descendant. For years I couldn't figure out my ancestors past 1823 in Ohio.. So, I started a two pronged project.

A One surname study for the Gilpin surname and a Y-DNA study.

I had the record I shared from past research. I did spend a few hours looking for more on the family but found nothing about her families' past.
The LDS site has gone through a MAJOR overhaul.. It is quite helpful..go investigate it is free...
