I now know that my Sarah Gillis, who married Norman MacLeod in Whycocomagh, Cape Breton, Canada was born may 14, 1831 and came to Canada in 1841.
She has a sister Effey as an earlier post from me states. I am still trying to find out where in Scotland she came from.
