Derek,
The plot thickens!I have a hunch you might be right. Henry Wallbank and Ann Gillibrand/Gilliburn had four sons,(no daughters that I am aware of) one of whom was Roger, born 1814. This Roger came to Australia and my husband is descended from him. On his death certificate it states that his father is Henry Wallbank and mother Ann Jillivau.I hunted to no avail for that marriage but I don't think the surname Jillivau exists. I then found the marriage of Henry Walbank to Ann Gilibrand on familysearch. This has to be their marriage. I have traced the Wallbanks back to 1700, no other Rogers and it is interesting to note that Roger's first daughter was named Alice.(More convincing evidence).I'm waiting on the film for Ribchester to arrive at my family history centre and hoping that the marriage entry may reveal more.Is Gilliburn a common name to the area or do you think it is a derivative of Gillibrand?
I'm almost certain you have put me on the right track - what do you think of all this??
Many thanks, Deb. Excuse my ignorance but was is Lanho PC ?
