I am looking for information about the Thomas Gilhooly Family. I find him and his wife Anna/Hannah in the Census in Chicago for 1900 and 1910. In the 1900 census i find 5 of their 6 children: Joesphy, Charles, Mollie, William and Edward born betweeen 1872 and 1885 living with them and then who I belived to be the 6th child, Nelly, next door living with her husband Michael Davey (Davitt). The children of this family that were born before 1875 were all born in Massachussetts. The two youngest, William and Edward were born in Illinois. The parents, Thomas and Hannah or Anna were both born in Ireland. It's not clear - the census information for 1900 and 1910 conflicts for the proper ages and arrival dates for Thomas and Hannah aka Anna (her name too shows this variantion between the two surveys). Thomas came over either in 1868, 1869 or thereabouts. Hannah came over between 1865 and 1867. Each of them were born around 1850.

Due census and obit information. I believe Mollie married a Joshua Tedford who died at which point she remarried a Smith.

Nelly Gilhooly and Michael Davey had four children Mona (Gelderman Brady), Bernice (Clohisy), Leona (Devine) and Bernard. Michael was a Chicago policeman.

I am looking for information about this Gilhooly family - to confirm Nellie's connection to them and then to find out the origins of Thomas and his wife.
