Gilbert, Thomas Sr.

Passed away at his home Thursday afternoon. Age 66 years. He was born Oct.8, 1887, in Cleveland Ohio, and came to Saginaw with his parents at the age of two years. He married Grace Crandall, July 3, 1909. She survives him. Mr. Gilbert was a plastering contracter and had followed that business for the past 45 years. He was a member of the Wadsworth Avenue Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters and three sons, Mrs. William Tiedt, Mrs Jack Hummel, Mrs. Floyd VanHorn, Charles, Thomas Jr., and Jack, all of Saginaw MI, Mrs. Rose Kelly of Rose City; also two sisters, Mrs. Lavina Crandall, Saginaw; Mrs. Mayme Wegert, Seattle, Wash. : 27 grandchildren. Funeral Service will take place a 2 p.m. Monday at the Case Chapel. Rev. Floyd Burkholder will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call the chapel after 7 p.m. Friday.
