Hi, My ggrandmother was Sarah Lenette Giggey, daughter of Leonard Giggey. I am related to an Arthur Giggey who currently lives in Yankton, SD. Our ancestors came from Aroostok area of Northern Maine. Let me know what information you might have on Giggey genealogy. Jerry Harvey, ut2175@aol.com

My ancesters also came from Northern Maine. Caribou and Aroostick. My great-grandfather was Albert Giggey. I believe he married Jane Harmon, who later left him for a Larrabee. That's about all I know but i am still seeking. I went up to New Sweden , Me. this summer looking for info on the Swedish people who landed there. I think, maybe, my anchesters stopped in Aroostick or Caribou. Maybe we are distant cousins.

Hi Opal,

Would like to have information on Leonard. I believe he
was a cousin to my father Jonas Giggey from Aroostook.
I remember him talking about a Leonard Giggey.
Maybe this is not the same Leonard.

Thanks

You have got to be a cousin. Jane Harmon did marry a Larrabee and my mother thought she was buried in Caribou. I, also, visited New Sweden last August looking for links. Maybe we were there at the same time. Unfortunatly, I didn't have time to go to Caribou cemetary to check it out. I wish I had. Maybe this summer. We will be in Maine again in August. Do you live in Maine now?

thank you for replying again. No I don't live in Maine now. I had hoped to get up to Caribou this summer but did not.Who is your mother and would she remember any other members of the "Giggey" family?
would you be able to or want to reply to me directly instead of going through the message board?
Again, thanks for replying.
