Crash Near Hornell Claims 2d Victim
HORNELL (UP) - A second victim of a traffic accident died yesterday in St. James Mercy Hospital of injuries suffered when the automobile in which he was a passenger crashed into the rear of a stalled tractor-tanker, two miles west of Almond.
Latest victim was William Bassett, 53, of Belmont. The driver of the auto, Claude Gigee, 66, also of Belmont, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital following the accident Monday night.
Five other passengers were also hospitalized. Three of them-Gigee's wife, Minnie, 60; Bassett's wife Gertrude, 50, and his daughter, Marjorie, 14-were in critical condition.
State Police said that the tractor-tanker was surrounded by flares ad an electric wig-wag signal and could give no reason for the mishap.

I am so happy to see someone with the name Gigee. I am looking for other Gigee family members. My father was Dale Gigee. He had a wife named Pat. They lived in the Buffalo/ Amherst area. Dale (dad) died in 1985. If you could help me with any other info on the Gigee family,or just the Gigee name i would really appreachiate it. I am also looking for his wife Pat, and her son.His name is David Henasy. He married a gril named Jody Guerra.
