Well, I'm trying to research the origin as far back as posible to my family. Though the main problem is my family is some what small now, because most of us live in scattered parts of the US, and I believe possibly even in Germany now. Anyone offer any search suggestions?

I'm replying to a request to find relation to the Giebel name...I currently live in Toledo,Ohio and I am also trying to locate some of my distant relatives, these would be on my fathers side of the family....Joy are you related to Jim and Sue Hall? If so you are one of the people I'm looking for....My grandfather came from Germany and his name was William Giebel, he married a woman named Pricilla, they had a son named Gerald(Jerry),my father...

I am originally from Cincinnati.

My great, great grandfather, Conrad Giebel(born in 1843) settled in Newport, Kentucky across the Ohio River from Cincinnati and is apparently from Germany but I have no accurate records.

He married Lena Haberstick(?) but I do not know when or where.

I have quickly searched the "Germans to America" series but the dates seem to be off.

I am also interested in researching the Giebel family.

Hi Tom,
I am looking for information on Frank X Giebel and his second wife Magdalena Gabel and their children. I have info on her family. I am especially interested in any copies of pictures that might exist of them.
