Surnames: Frank X. Giebel of Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio.
Hi Tim:

I do have information on Magdalena Gabel children and some of their descendants. I also have information on Magdalena's lineage. I too am looking for photos. Frank X. Giebel Sr. is my great grandfather and I have never seen a photo of him.

I have extensive information on Frank X. Giebel and Anna Mary Huffman lineage.

I especially remember visiting Magdelana's daughter, Catherine Giebel, who married Joseph Geyman. We called her Aunt Katie and she had a very jovial personality. I also knew daughters Susan, who married Albert Snyder, and Clara, who married Charles Reinbolt. I have their obituaries.

I have had no success with anyone in those families have old photos, or even returning my inquiry for photos. I have not lived in the Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio area for 38 years and have lost contact with that portion of the family. Now that I have been doing geneaology I wish I had paid more attention in earlier years.

I would treasurer a photo of Frank X. Giebel and his first (Anna Mary Huffman) and second wives (Magdelena Gabel).
They are my great grandparents I never met.

HI Cindi

I found an old post of yours on Ancestry. Don't know if you are still searching for info on your grandfather, but he and my grandfather, Albert Giebel, were brothers. If you are stl. Seeking info I would be glad to share what I have.

Hi, Tom, my maternal grandmother was Anna M Giebel, from Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio. Her parents were George and Mary Stine Giebel, who are both buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Sandusky, OH. I think they lived in Fremont, also. George was born in Leimbach, Germany in 1850 and his parents, Johann George Giebel and Elizabeth Gertrude Hohman, were both born in Germany--I do not know the towns.--and probably immigrated to USA in early to mid 19th century. I think they were all farmers. I would like to hear from you and your family roots. Vincent Brede Westby
