Re: Warwickshire Gibbards
Thanks for the info. Been on holiday, so sorry for the delay.Have got marriage certificate for my Gran (Kate Gibbard). She married on November 16th 1907 to John Henry Goodwin in West Bromwich. She shows her age as 21 and lived at 40 Walsall St. Will have to do more checks to see what other info I can glean, and then get back to you.

Re: Warwickshire Gibbards
A Gibbard? Sorry for the interruption, but it sounds like a lady I'm looking for. She married a Gibbard, was born a Hubbard, and it is rumoured in the family that she dropped social status in marrying a Colonel of the Life Guards. This sounds very interesting. Would you mind letting me have anything you've got? I'm fairly new at this, and am lost. Many many thanks

Re: Warwickshire Gibbards
Hi,
My Great Grandmother was a Gibbard she was born in Newarke but and her family originated from Birmingham/Warwickshire area. Please have a look at my tree and I am not sure if there is a connection. I think there are a few Williams and possibly an Anne.

Re: Warwickshire Gibbards
Hi Jean My great Grandmother's brother John Gibbard had two daughters Catherine Minnie Gibbard (1887) and Annie Elsie Gibbard (1889). Annie's mother died in the same qtr when Annie was born. I believe Catherine was called Kit.
Catherine married Thomas Bennett (born Loxley Warwickshire 1888) in 1910 and Annie E married Frank Bennett in 1923.
1901 Census has Thomas and Frank born Loxley, sons of George and Flora.
John Gibbard lived in Wootton Wawen where my father was born.
