Bucks, England, the other in Sanilac Co. area originated in Warwickshire.

Maureen - Dad said you were beginning a search
of the Lapeer County Gibbard family. I've
started a search also, but haven't gotten very far
yet. I'd be more than happy to share what little
I have. Dad found some pictures of Grandpa Lester
and Great Grandfather Edward. You are welcome to
copies also. Please contact me at my e-mail address
dgibbard@blclinks.net Thanks - Dave

Dave, I've been in contact with Glen Gibbard in Canada. He mentioned that he had been in contact with you. A message was posted last night from a Chris Cook inquiring about the Hunter Craig names. I replied today as that was our Great Grandmother's last name. Gary has been working on Family History from what I understand. Cindy Rainwater( John's daughter)had a posting a few months ago. My e-mail is maureen40@excite.com Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, Maureen

Hello Jackie

I saw your posting re the Gibbard Family. I don't think there is any connection between your Emma and my family but I do have an extensive database of Gibbards and I may be able to help you find something about her family. I am always pleased to help fellow Gibbard researchers if I can.

In the 1881 Census Index for Suffolk I see in Gorleston a Frederick Gibbard, aged 56, a mast and block (maker), which would make him a shipbuilder, with his children, most of whom were born in Barking (or Barling) Essex. This is the only Frederick I can find in this census that would fit your description and is a possible for Emma's father.

If you wish, I can give you more information on this and, if it is your family, I can get you the references you will need to order birth certificates and suggest other places where you might look.

Please contact me at sggibb@wimsey.com if you would like further information.

Regards
