The Giacobe's I know are mostly in northern New Jersey, and they were a large family. My ex's father was one of 11 I think. I have e-mailed with his cousin, Dennis, for a few months, and he gave me a list of them.

would you want to hear more?? e-mail me at lgsprenger@home.com Linda Giacobe-Sprenger

My Great Grandfather came over from the Town of Divieto, Providence of Messina, Italy; they boarded a boat in Palamo, Italy to come to New Jersey, not Ellis but the other port of entry in New Jersey, they resided in Atlantic County, in the town of Hammonton, NJ. If you have any more questions please email me at cjamorris@msn.com my maiden name is spelled Jacoby but my grandfather and great grandfather last names were spelled Giacobbe, I hail from Riverside, NJ now reside in North Carolina. Please email as soon as you receive this message. Sincerely Constance Marie Jacoby-Morris.

Do you know a Robert "Bob" Giacobbe? I met him at my first duty assignment at Plattsburgh AFB, New York back in 1963. He was discharged from the Air Force sometime between 1963 and 1966 and he and his wife moved to Thousand Oaks, California. I believe he got into the banking business. I saw his name on Classmates under Military Assignments/Plattsburgh AFB, New York. I just want to talk about old times and catch up on what he's been doing since he went to California.

Thank you.

Hi Linda. You are my Aunt! I am the daughter of your husbands brother, Gerald (Jerry). I don't remember much about Uncle Joey...I was young when he passed away. If there is any information I can help you with please feel free to contact me at PoolSharkSheri@aol.com

I know my dad had two IDs and is going by both Giacobbe and Jacobby. He did say that some people spelled it like that, no joke. But you only spell it with one 'b' and not two. So... I dunno.

My great grandmother was Maria Giacobbe. She came here in the early 1900's. She was from Messina. I don't know anything about her except her name, year of birth, and when she came here. She was married to Francesco Merlino. I am wondering if we have a connection. Please get back to me. Thanks.

Theresa
