Recently in history class, we traced our linneage. I found that my name used to be Giaccio until it was changed to Jaccoi when my great great grandfather, Nicholas Giaccio, came to America from Naples I believe. I am 17, son of Joseph Jaccoi, grandson of the late Maurice Jaccoi (who everyone called Jack), who was married to Nancy Angeletti.

Did your father Joseph grow up in Yonkers and attend St. Peter's school for a while. I attended as well. We would like to get in touch with him for a 40 year reunion.

Surnames: Jaccoi giaccio
Wow i didnt know that. My name is sarah jaccoi, my fathers name was philip jaccoi, who has a brother named nicolas jaccoi, and their father was also Philip jaccoi. I could never find any history on my family cause a lot people passed on my fathers side. I would love to chat with some new family members and talk about history. Also, its interesting to know about the whole name change from Giaccio, I looked online forever and never found this out. Very interesting, I would appreciate knowing anyone from that side.

My name is MaryAnn Jaccoi. My dad's name was Pasquale Jaccoi. His brothers were Nicholas & Peter. We grew up in the Bronx. My grandfather's name was Mauricio Jaccoi & he came from Calbria Italy. My dad said the name was changed from Giaccio to Jaccoi at Ellis Island & anyone named "Jaccoi" had to be related since the name was created.
