Hi, I was wondering if anyone on this message board had information on the sculptor Pietro Ghiloni or on the whereabouts of his descendants. Ghiloni died April 29, 1952 and was married to "Suema, son Leo, and two daughters, Mrs. Constance Lalli and Mrs. Mercedes Rossi, all of New York (from the New York Times obituary)." If you have any info you'd like to share, please feel free to email me at maxjukes@yahoo.com. Thanks and take care, Brian

Thanks for replying to my post. I am interested in Pietro Ghiloni's time that he spent working for the sculptor George Grey Barnard. I've completed a doctoral dissertation on Barnard's work during that period (1920s-1930s), and am now turning it into a book. So I'm searching for any information that members of the Ghiloni family may know about Pietro, or his work. Unfortunately I do not know much about him or any sculptural work that he may have done besides that done under Barnard. Thanks for any assistance you might be able to provide. Thanks and take care, Brian Hack

I am writing this note for my friend,Laurel Ghiloni who is the grandaughter of Pietro G Ghiloni. She wants me to inform you that there are two Pietro Ghiloni 's. Her Grandfather worked for several years in New Orleans unlike
the other sculptor. She has information that may be of interest to you.

I am interested in information concerning a sculptor,
Pietro G. Ghiloni who exhibited sculpture in the 1923 annual exhbition of the Southern States Art League. He is listed as living in New York but the exhibition was restricted to artists born in the South or of 5 year residence in the South. The New Orleans connection is important for that reason. Could this be the second Pietro Ghiloni?
