Hello! This is an old message, so I don't know if you are still reachable, but I believe we have crossover records with your George Hampton Gheen. Sarah Winders married Warren Gheen in Rowan Co., NC in 1836; a George Gheen was involved with a land transaction in Rowan Co.in 1843 with Chambers Winders, a George Gheen was receipted for a note on the will accounting of Fanny Chambers Winders in 1846 in Salisbury, Rowan Co., NC., and who I believe to be Fanny's granddaughter, Fanny Winders, married David B. Gheen in Rowan in 1858. In addition, a man who appears to be one of Fanny's grandsons was named Henry "Hampton" Winders. Maybe we should compare notes! Deven Lewis
