Hello,
My great-grandfather was Davis Levi Gheen, Son of Thomas and Eliza Catherine(Richardson)Gheen. They lived in Loudoun Co. Va. Davis married Jenny Pepper and had several children. William, Thomas, Pearl & Arthur. Arthur was my Grandfather. I think you may be my distant cousin. I don't have a lot of info but I know other cousins that do. Let me know if I can help or if you have more info than I do.

I have some information on Levi Davis and his brother Thomas Jackson, more than on their father Thomas. Thomas Jackson is my great grandfather. I would be thrilled to learn all that you have on their father Thomas Jefferson. You may contact me at my email ibnene25

Hi, I've been reading your old post. You've been at this longer than I have. You've even been in contact with my mother Fay Gheen. There is an old story from my family. It was told that the parents of Levi and Thomas Gheen were killed by Indians. Do you have any ifno on this?

I have tried to get information on Thomas J by contacting Fay, but was told that she was bed ridden and could no get to her information. I was told that she had a lot of information on Thomas J. If you could get to that information I would greatly appreciate.

Hi, my email address is rhondaballenger@bellsouth.net. The only problem is that I work alot. So don't be put off if it takes me awhile to get back to you. My mom is doing alot better now, she had two knee replacements. I think you may have all or most of what I have but maybe we can find out what happened to Thomas J. I read a page in an old confederate book that said he was arrested for being a spy and was considered not guilty. I also said that he wasn't opposed to joining up. His brother was supposed to be in the confederate army at this point. Maybe he joined up with the same unit as his brother. They were supposed to be in Tenn. I say a census with a Thomas Gheen in it in Tenn. but who knows if it is him. My grandfather was Arthur Gheen. His father was Davis Gheen. Davis told my father that his parents were killed by Indian. That he and his brother hid under the bed and that was the only thing that saved them. do you or any of your relatives know any thing about that? Maybe the info was about someone else in the family? Anyway, I hope we can find out more. Rhonda

i am glad that your mom is doing better. I had never heard the tail about the indians. They were raised in Centerville, VA near an indian reservation. I know that their parents were not killed as I have information that says otherwise. Will talk by email.

If your g-grandfather was Levi Davis Gheen, then I believe that we are related. My g-grandfather was his brother Thomas J. Gheen. I am a great-granddaughter of him. My grandfather was Ernest W. Gheen and my father was Ernest David Gheen. If our g-grandfathers were brothers then I know that we are. G. Neal
