No I don't know. I saw it written Gastin once. Have you heard of Polly or James or Nancy from New York or Wisconsin?

Followed his son, Albert Ghastin, who was awarded land their in response to service in Mexican American War 1845.

I know a little more, but am very interested in this James Ghastin fellow as he was my great-great-great grandfather.

Was curious if you had more information on Albert Ghastin for example who he married? My family records shows an Albert Ghastin living in Sextonville (Richland Co.), WI around 1860's who was married to Martha Eliza Coleman (born 4 Nov. 1834- died ?). I have their children listed as; Frank D. Ghastin, Albert Ghastin, Henry H. Ghastin, Mary Gertrude Ghastin, Harriet Ghastin and Susan E. Ghastin. Would be interested in knowing if I have this correct. You could e-mail me at dnecox@hotmail.com if that is easier.
