Hi, everyone!
I am Joaquin Gefaell, son of Tony and Teresa Gefaell. Tony in turn son of Willhem (Willy) Gefaell, in turn son of Joseph Vicktor Gefaell. Willy was the brother of the Hans (John) Gefaell who moved to the States and married Anette Gladwin, and had 3 children: Jonh (Jack), Patricia and Robert. Willy was born in Vienna and came to Spain to marry Pilar Goróstegui. We are now, as cousing Camino was saying in a previous message, over 57 Gefaells in Spain. And yes, from all the exchanges I have seen in this web page, we are all related to you folks in the USA and in the UK!!
You may wish to have a look at our blog, as we are organising a big family reunion in Spain in July 2010. There you will find lots of info, including a family tree put together by our cousin Pablo Gefaell. Find the address below:

http://gefaelada2010.blogspot.com

just type it in the search bar of your internet browser and you will be able to connect.
Feel free to contact me at jgefaellp@twov.com, and we can share all the info, the history, the pictures...

It would be great if some of you could come to the reunion.
I am specially interested in resuming contacts with the descendants of Patricia Gefaell, married to Sandy Maxwell. They lived in Princeton, NJ, and had one daughter Linda and 3 other adopted children. Linda is married to Tony Stefanelli and has 3 kids (well, no so kids anymore...) and live in Pennington, NJ.
I spent two years visiting them in Princeton for the weekends as I was going through my MBA at Columbia University in NY, so I specially love this part of the family but I lost phones, emails and addresses when my computer just died on me a couple of years ago. Can you help?
I look forward to hearing from any of you, it will be great!
With lots of Gefaell love,
Joaquin

Hi Everyone,
I am Cris Jonnette Gefaell. Daughter of Robert and Glee Gefaell. My Grandparents were Annette & John Gefaell (hence the Jonnette).I have vivid memories of these two amazing people.Mainly Wagner and the smell of cherry pipe tabacco. My Dad had a sister named Pat Maxwell and a brother Jack Gefaell. My Dad lived in San Francisco and was involved with music in one form or another his whole life. His brother Jack stayed in New York and Pat lived in New Jersey. There are so many great stories of this wildly intersting and engaging family. I have two Uncles as well. Robert (Robin) Gefaell and Jay Gefaell who have wonderful big families. I have three daughters. Kate, Kim and Kelsey. In the Gefaell tradition they all play a musical instrument and laugh at the drop of a hat. Bob left them with an amazing love of music and a healthy respect for celebration. He is dearly missed. I'm still in contact with
Christine Gefaell in New York. I would love to keep in touch. Play on......

I knew a Bob Gefaell in San Francisco in the 1980s and 1990s - I found your post when I was looking for him; and your description matches what I knew of Bob.

Contact me if you want more details.

I have Nancy Strange who married ___?___ Gefaell. She was born about 1919 and I have her parents as Robert & Edna H. (Bowne) Strange, and her ancestry back to John Holcombe who died in England abt 1685.
I would love to hear from anyone researching this line.
