Hello, my name is Maureen Gefaell, I live in the UK. I am trying to research my family name and wondered if you were able to help me? I appreciate an alphabet letter may be dropped, to change names along the way.....but to you knowledge, would you know if Gfeller may be connected to my name Gefaell. Our eldest know ancester is Ulrich Gefaell born 1800 and died 1858.He worked as a clockmaker in London during this time.....but we do not know his place of birth, family, parents or simblings if any. Any information or help you may be able to offer, would be grately appreciated. Regards Maureen.

Re: Descendants of Peter Gfeller
Hi, My eldest know ancester is Ulrich Gefaell, a name very similar to your Ulrich Gfeller! Do you have further information of the children of Christian Gfeller's and Anna (nee Liecht)children...I wondered if our Ulrich may have been one? He was born in 1800 and died in 1858....but I do not know the name of his parents, simblings or place of birth. Any help would be much appreciated. Regards Maureen.

Re: Menga Bernhardt & Adolph Gfeller
I have Menga Bernhard married to Adolph Gfeller on 09-Jul-1874 in Polk County, Iowa (probably Lincoln Township near Alleman). I have some information about her parents, but I have no documentation to back it up. Her father is Peter Bernhard b. 19-Jun-1825 in Untervaz, Graubünden, Switzerland, d. 20-Apr-1919 in Dickinson County, Kansas. Menga's mother is Barbara Allemann, b. 03-Mar-1825 in Untervaz, Graubünden, Switzerland, d. 02-Oct-1910 in Sheldahl, Polk, Iowa.
