I have found my Martus information. He was the younger brother of my ggggrandfather, Friderich Gfell. (Are you by chance related to Jim Fell, attorney in Oregon? I met him a few years ago in San Francisco, and he mentioned the two aunts.)

Three of Fidelis' sons - Friderich, Magnus/Martus, and Hugo - would emigrate to the United States. There, Magnus became known and Marcus, and Friderich became known as Fred. All three of these brothers settled in Huron County, Ohio.
