I would very much appreciate any help in sorting out the Geyer family of Warwick and Mt Joy in Lancaster Co. during this time period; earlier generations are better documented on several Ancestry trees. The George Geyer who was born c. 1815 married Mary Ann Erby, had four children and was a farmer in Mt Joy. By the 1870 census he was very prosperous, having a farm valued at $37,500. The 1880 census shows him as a 'retired farmer'. In the meantime, George Geyer 1777-1859 also lived in Mt. Joy from at least 1830-1850 (and probably until 1854 when his next door neighbor and presumed son Emanuel left there with his family for Wayne OH). Finally, Col George Geyer 1810-1895 lived the entire time in nearby Warwick where, it is said on Ancestry, this branch of the Geyers first came to America. The latter two George Geyers almost certainly were related - probably as father and son - and it is likely that the 1815 George Geyer was also a relation, but so far no evidence of that has turned up other than their common name and residence near each other.
