I'm looking for information regarding a man named William Geyer, who was at some point in Marinette, WI, and died in Green Bay, WI. He would have been born around the 1920-1930 time, and he died in the late 1990's. He had a brother in the Green Bay, WI area, too.

I realize that there are a million people with this name, but if anyone knows anything or can help, I'd love it.

Hello,

do you have more details on William Geyer?
I did some ancestry research on the part of my family that emigrated from Germany to the USA and one of the descendants name is "William Geyer". However he belongs to a branch of the familytree of which I don't know very much.
I'd be glad to help you.

Regards Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

As you probably know, William Geyer is a pretty common name. Maybe we're talking about the same line, maybe not.

I do not have much information, but this is what I have right now.

John "Jack" Geyer b. 1873 in WI, lived in Green Bay as an adult. Wife Margaret "Maggie" Younkle Geyer b. 1867 in Belgium (do not know maiden name - 1st married name appears to be Younkle).

Children: William (b. 1903), Clarence (b. 1904), Andrew (b. 1902) and Benjamin (b. 1905) Geyer
Step-Children: Charley (b. 1891), Lilian (b. 1893), Alvira (b. 1899) & Ella (b. 1896) Younkle. All born in Wisconsin.

William Geyer (b. 1903 Green Bay) & Wife Josephine Mertens of Green Bay
Son William Norbert Geyer Junior 1927-2002 Wisconsin.

That's all I have right now. If you can help, do let me know.

Thanks,
Evie

Hello Bryana,

I haven't been on Ancestry for some time, I'm please to see your post. William was my father. I now very little about my fathers earlier life and other children. I would also like to get to know the rest of my family. It sounds like we may have a lot to learn from each other. Thank you for reaching out and look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,
Steve
