There were three marriages between the Guerin family and the Emberlin family. A William E Guerin was killed at a dance at Red Hill, but he may not be the one you are searching for. Check out Nita and Stacey on the Wright Surname Message Board.

When my father in law died I found the Bible of his step-father, Henry Edward Geurin. This was in terrible shape but i did zerox all the information that was in it. Including some sheets of paper that was inserted . It shows a W.M. Geurin b. Jan 16 1851 and Mrs Emer Geurin b. July 30. 1856 and the children that you have listed match the ones in the bible. I also have some pictures of Henry and his children . If you think that this is your family . email me your address and i will send copies of the pages. and can scan and send email some of the photos later. Neida

William M. Geurin and Emma Nivens had a son, Charles Wesley Geurin, who was my paternal grandfather. He was born on July 22, 1876 in Cooke County, Texas, and married my grandmother, Alice Melinda Katira Jenkins, on June 9, 1897. My grandfather died in Stocketon, California on May 23, 1966. Four children were born of their union: Elmer, Ethel, Floyd, and Aubrey. Floyd Adair was my father.

You just found a descendent. My paternal grandfather was Charles Wesley Geurin, son of William M. Geurin and Emma (Emmar) Nivens. I don't have anything on the Geurin name beyond William, but his mother was Nancy Harvill, born of John Harvill and Nancy Powell.
Emmar Nivens was born of John H. Nivens and Mary Tomlinson. John H. Nivens was born of James Nivens, but I don't have his mother's surname. Her given name was Patience.
If you have more information, I would love to have it.

I'm also looking for information on William M Geurin. I've got nothing past him. His son, Henry Edward is my Great-Grandfather. Henry's son Claude is my Grand-Father and Claude's son Gerald is my Father.
Incidentally, nobody called my Grand-Father by his given name. He was Dude to everybody! I also have Henry's pocketwatch (still functioning).
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
