I'll send you an email now. What a small world. Who is his mother (what winklers?). I've been tracing the Winklers back through Chicago as well. That's my Dad's dads' side. The Geraghty's are my Dad's moms' side. I guess we can email! HA
Thanks!
T

OOPS! My correct email is:

Sorry 'bout that.
I'm working on the Winklers now to see if there's any connection.

Surnames: GERRAGHTY, FORD, MEARS, EDWARDS
Michael GERAGHTY & Fanny EDWARDS were the witnesses at marriage of my g'g'grandparents, Bartley FORD + Bridget MEARS, 1833 in Ballina, Co Mayo, at St. Muredach's. They emigrated to Chicago about 1838...do you know when your family arrived? Bartly appears to have worked for the I & M Canal which was being built, because one child was b Lockport IL, which was the headquarters. They were in Chicago and acquiring real estate at the end of the 1830's.
