Looking for information about Geraci families immigrated from Italy/Algiers ca. 1910. Specifically interested in Joseph Geraci, b.1893 d. 1968, m. Santina (Thomas?), b. 1896 d. 1939. Their son Albert J Geraci, b. 1922 d. 1993, m. Angela Cipola (sp?) b. 1924. Confused by Ohio records indicating Albert Geraci m. Irene Todaro in 1948.

Hello

Just trying to trace the Geraci roots. I am the daughter of
Albert Geraci who married my mother Irene Todaro. I have
two brothers and I was born in Cleveland in 1951. My
grandfather Joseph Geraci was born in Algiers France and
was a chef.

I currently live in Las Vegas. It was interesting to see
my mom and dates marriage certificate. I was very close to
my parents. I miss them dearly.
My father's sister name was Santina who I am named after.

Hope this helps somewhat

Surnames: Geraci, Todoro
I have been told that my family emigrated from Italy, specifically Sicily by way of Algiers. My grandfather’s name is Joseph Geraci. He was married twice; the first time I believe it was to a Santana, the second marriage is the one that produced my father (Joseph J. Geraci) thus leading to me. I know nothing about Santana. And my father remembers very little about his half brothers because they were much older than him. He thinks that Albert did marry Irene Todoro and that they produced 3 children. Do you think we are from the same Joseph Geraci line?

It's possible that you are from the same Joseph Geraci line as the family whose tree I am researching. What was your grandmother's name? When was your father born, and where? These details, if you feel comfortable sharing them, will help to figure things out.

Thanks,

Julie
