Hi Paul this is a long shot and a long story. I am looking for info/effects of Katherine Francis Millerick who married Patrick John Geogehan (No childers) Kathernes mother Helena who lived in 103 Leeson Street, Dublin.
Katherine's Brother Thomas gave extraordinary service to our area in very poor times.
Amy Rudd and I undertook to understand more about a 1898 seaside monument dedicated to Dr.T.G.Millerick in the centre of our village in Waterville, Co.Kerry, Ireland.
No one seemed to know anything about him which was likely because he had no children and his only sister had no children to remember Dr.Millerick. He also seemed to go out of village memory over the 100 years since the monument was erected.
We understand that the garden in which monument stands was dedicated to the 'Children of Waterville' in memory of Dr.Millerick.
What we are hoping for is that a descendent or descendents of Dr.Millerick's Father Michael Millerick (His father Edward) or His Mother Helena O'Sullivan could be identified to reclaim the memory and courageous dedication of Dr.Millerick to the people of Waterville and the whole of the Iveragh Peninsula in South Kerry. From our accounts he gave his live in service to our area. We wish to acknowledge this.
Dr.Millercik is buried in Daniel O'Connell's (The Libarator) family plot on Abby Island in Derrynane, Caherdaniel, Co.Kerry.
Text/Images of our research to date into Dr.Millerick, his life and his family can be seen on below link:

Feel free to pass this note and link.
Kind Regards Albert Walsh, Waterville, Co.Kerry.
