Hello, Shirley! You can write to me @
Maggie Fletcher
1440 Fulton St.
Elkhart, In 46514

Actually, Maggie is my nickname. My mom has always called me that! Peggy is my real name but I prefer Maggie! I'll get some copies out to you as soon as I can! I was born in Goshen, In but raised in Elkhart. When I first went to Zion Cemetery in Bristol I was in awe over my ancestors there! George (son of my George B.) was there along with many of his children and their families. In Elkhart at Grace Lawn Cemetery there are several Gemberling's. I've taken pictures and can scan them for you. I'm adding my email address so we won't have to go thru' this system! CurrantRed@aol.com Write direct! Later! Maggie

Christina,
The Gemberling's originated in Germany and settled in Pa. They were Pennsylvanian's and Dutch is the English term for Germany/Deutch. Thus Pennsylvania Dutch! My grandma was from the Gemberling family. I don't remember her talking that much about the family as a child. I have a web site and would love to enter your family history if it's not already there! You can check it out at:

The history was done up in the 70's and there's a lot of updating to be done. Hope you can help! Those of us who have been working on this are hoping to make this site the most informative family history site on line. Thanks!

My Susanna Ehrhart born 8/27/1804 York, PA md Philip Gemberling & they moved to Union Co in the Sellins Grove area which became Snyder Co when it was formed. We know this much from York Co court records & follow them there in the 1850-70 censuses. I'd like to follow their ch listed in those censuses : Mary, Catherine, Henry, John, Frederick, Amanda, Barbara, Elias b 1829-1841 according to censuses. She was a sister of my Peter Ehrhart who was also there 1820 when his wife died after her 6th child. Peter ended up in MO.
Could this be your Gemberlings?
