My gg-grandfather was Thilox Gemar, married to Marguerita Reisch. There son Charles was born in New Orleans abt 1867, married Elizabeth Woeste Nov 15, 1894 at St Vincent de Paul Catholic church in NO, and died June 19, 1939. I have no clue as to where or when Thilox was born or died, if any other Gemar's have a connection, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim I know a Jim Cook very well up here in MissoulaHope this helped some

I am searching now for years the Gemar families. The origin of all the families Gemar is Germany. 1809 a couple emmigrated to Russia/Ucraine. Cousin of them emigrated about 1852 directly to the USA. I am searching this branche, coming directly to the States, all the other Gemar I know.
What do you know about your branche?

It is alraedy a time ago I wrote to a Gemar living in Texas, but I can't remember for this moment his address. Could you be this Gemar? How are you related to Jim Cook?
If Jim Cook gg grandfather had a son born 1867/68 he must be belonging to the branche of Gemar emigrated about 1850 to the States.
Could we come into personel contact by our eMails, it's easier?
Best regards Klaus Wenz
