Salvatore (Sal) Gelardi
Salvatore (Sal) Gelardi died in his Woodland home Friday, March 12, 2004, at age 60.
Born June 16, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., Mr. Gelardi had been a Yolo County resident for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lavona Gelardi; children, Ryan Gelardi and fiancee Kimberly Winn, Dylan Farkas and Pandora Hooper, Melissa Farkas-Amen and husband David, and Toby Farkas, all of Woodland; mother, Leonilda Gelardi; sisters, Diane Estrada and husband Bob, and Toni Saraspe and husband Laurel, all of San Diego; grandchildren, Isabella Farkas, Kayley Amen, Trevor Amen; and canine companions, Telli, Magic and Primo.
The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital; Labrador Retriever Reserve. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland.
Services: A vigil service is schedule at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland, with a burial to follow.
