MANSFIELD: Gloria Madeline "Grammy" Hundertpfund, 87, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Lexington Court Care Center.
She was born August 20, 1924 in Weehawken, New Jersey (Hudson County) to Charles and Dorothy (Hillard) Gelan.
She graduated from Englewood High School and lived in both Leonia, NJ and Wanamassa, NJ before moving to Mansfield, Ohio.
She was actively involved in the Leonia Sports Boosters and the Wanamassa Women's Auxiliary.
She worked as a saleswoman in both Bloomingdales and Steinbachs and as a hostess for McDonalds.
A loving, caring Mom, she was also an excellent cook (German sauerbraten), and an avid knitter making afghans, sweaters, and premie baby caps. She loved following her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren through their lives and relished sitting with her friends on the beach in Cape May, NJ sharing those memories.
She is survived by one son, Gary and Cindy Hundertpfund of Lexington, OH; three grandchildren, Holly and Tim Belby of Cuyahoga Falls, OHIO, Brett Hundertpfund of Columbus, OH and Chris and Laura Letts of Jackson, NJ; four great grandchildren, Owen and Julia Belby of Cuyahoga Falls, and Ryan and Sara Letts of Jackson, NJ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Frank J. "Hank" Hundertpfund and her daughter Joan Hundertpfund Letts.
A family remembrance will be observed with burial in Wayside Cemetery, Wayside, N.J.
