Hello! Let me first say-- my mother (Margot Gegg) thinks you're one of our known relatives, one of her Canadian cousins especially. I think she's probably right. The only related Geggs we know of are the group in Canada, a relative of Edith's in England, and our family here in California. If you're not among these relatives, we'd be interested to hear about your connection. And if you are one of the Canadian Geggs, hello-- and I hope you all are well!

I've just tripped over your query of 8 years ago. In case it's still of any interest and you haven't already got all this, I would offer that:
a. Edith Carlotta Johnson-Lee (b.1882 in Port of Spain, Trinidad) was William Stanley Gegg's mother.
b. She emigrated from Hong Kong to Canada in 1921 following her husband's death the previous year. William Stanley was born 5 months after George Willaim Gegg died.
c. In Canada she joined her elder son Richard Conrad Gegg (b1904) who was at McGill University in Montreal.
d. Both boys went on to have families of their own, WSG in USA and RCG in Canada.
e. I'm intersted in your source for info that Edith was interned in WW2 in Hong Kong by the Japanese.
