Hi Joe. Your dad's sister, Mary, married my grandma's brother, John Thomas Holevar, in Detroit. John's family also came from Zborov, where his last name is Choleva. My wife and I visited Zborov in Sept. '02 and found cousins there we didn't know existed! We just learned that the Gefferts also came from there and that you still have cousins there. I don't have a lot of info. on the Gefferts yet, but feel free to write to me at jerryseim@juno.com. Hope to hear from you soon.

I'm also researching Geffert and a 1910 census reported Zeboro Austria as the birthplace of Jospeh Geffert born 1855. Is this a misspelling of Zborov in Slovakia or was Zeboro a different city?
