Pat,
Perhaps you can tell me where your family originated from, was it County Leitrim or County Sligo ?.
I have researched my family back to the mid 1800's.
Looking forward to your reply,
Yours sincerely,
Francie Geelan.

I am married to a son of your godfather, Laurence Boland, from Ballinabarna, Rosmount. My husband's mother remembers you going to school. And remembers that you are a twin.
Good Luck in your geneaology research!

What part of Culfadda is your Feeney family from? My mother (McDermott) was born in Culfadda - right by the church, but her father was from Battlefield (McDermott & "Jack" or "Black" Hannon). I know a man in New Jersey who has been tracing and keeping in touch with the Battlefield genealogies.

I can't help myself, but I might have someone who can. My research is boxed and in storage right now, including a map of about 1908 showing where each of the families were living.

Have you tried FindMyPast.com - they have court records which have been interesting if not helpful. Put "Battlefield" in the search box at the top. I also used the two other older names that it was once called - Dereen and I forget the other name.

Have you been in touch with the Feeney singer from Battlefield? Do you have any personal connections in that area.
