Dear Mr Geekie, are you linked to the geekie family tree that is in the public tree area?
If so i have another 3 to 4 generations back in relation to lillias grant and john anderson.
Bit of a hobby that got out of hand. Had the dundee Courier archivists helping me.
if not if you know who they are that would be great,

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your email, the name is not one I recognise, I posted the notice in response to a person who placed a question that was asked and relates to my father (whom passed away in October last year) and his parents and time frames that this person stated, and matched perfectly.

I have not really done much on tracing the name as I have no idea on how to go about it but would like to, I did have a go at it once through the Scotlands People web site and got back about three or four generations to a Thomas Watt whom was a merchant seaman around the very early 1800's but that is when the trail got cold and not long after that I misplaced my paper work.

In saying that I would like to communicate more with you and if possible see if I can establish a link with your findings.

You can contact me directly if you wish at
pmgeekie@xtra.co.nz if you wish to do so.

Kindest Regards
Paul Geekie

i am not sure myself on the geekie link, just that someone else who has a public tree geekie family history has a link to my lillias grant and john anderson. i will have to join this site at 20 bucks a month in think to find out , rather spend the money on beer or a bottle of wine from blenheim.
